Shortness of breath and it causes

Few sensations are as frightening as not being able to get enough air. Although shortness of breath — known medically as dyspnea — is likely to be experienced differently by different people, it's often described as an intense tightening in the chest or feeling of suffocation. Depending on the cause, you may experience shortness of breath just once or have recurring episodes that could become constant.
Very strenuous exercise, extreme temperatures, massive obesity and high altitude all can cause shortness of breath in a healthy person. Outside of these examples, shortness of breath is likely a sign of a medical problem. If you have unexplained shortness of breath, especially if it comes on suddenly and is severe, see your doctor as soon as possible.

How to Stop Comparing Yourself to Others

It’s very difficult not to compare yourself with others, given the preoccupation we have with perfection in modern life. If we start examining our achievements and accomplishments, then we can raise the bar even further. It is natural to compare yourself to others, and even envy them. But when you become obsessed with your deficiencies, rather than the areas in which you excel, you are focused on the wrong thing. This can be debilitating and it can even prevent you from taking part in many aspects of your life. Constant comparison with others tends to lower your self-esteem and make you feel bad about yourself. Resist the urge to compare yourself with others by becoming aware of how you view yourself. Set goals for yourself that will build your confidence, and relearn behaviors that will improve your opinion of yourself.

Wonders, they say, shall never end, Meet Twins that married one man

Wonders, they say, shall never end. It’s true. Unlike the identical twins in a previous story where one stabbed the other after they fell in love with the same man and only one of them got him, the twin sisters in this story have agreed and decided to share the same man in love without any fight.
The twin sisters from South Africa have actually gone ahead to marry him after he acceded to their requests, and with polygamy being accepted in their country, the marriage took place in a big way.

According to The Drum, for identical twins Owami and Olwethu Mzazi, it was their life-long dream to marry the same man. They stated that during their childhood days, they shared everything, washed the dishes, played, and went to school together. They even bathed side by side.
One of the twins, Owami, told the magazine:
“We have always done everything together…that is how our grandmother raised us. So when we decided to marry, we said any man that wants to marry one, will marry the other.”

Hepatitis B is a killer virus, see how is Transmitted and the Symptoms.

Hepatitis B

Hepatitis B is a virus that causes inflammation of the liver. Chronic (long-lasting) hepatitis B can cause liver cell damage, which can lead to cirrhosis (scarring of the liver) and cancer. It is estimated that 5,000 people die each year in the United States due to the complications of cirrhosis and liver cancer as a result of hepatitis B virus (HBV).
How is it transmitted
  • HBV is transmitted through direct contact with blood, semen, or vaginal secretions.
  • Hepatitis B can be transmitted through unprotected vaginal, anal, or oral sex. In adolescents and adults, this is the most common mode of transmission. It can also be transmitted by injecting drug users who share needles or other injecting equipment contaminated with HBV-infected blood.

How to Make Natural Deodorant (Finds of Wellness Mama)

Today, I tackle a subject that no one really wants to talk about: body odor. More importantly, I will tackle it naturally. Chances are, you’ve probably experienced body odor at some point. I am posting this because it was a touchy subject for me for a long time, and I’m hoping my (embarrassing) plight might be able to help someone!
Eating good diet and drinking enough water can really cut down the odor, but sometimes you need something else. Sure, the conventional deodorant antiperspirants work great, if you don’t mind infusing your armpits with cancer causing aluminum, but for those of us who have sought a more natural option, you may have noticed that the pickings are rather slim. There are a lot of natural deodorants out there, it’s just that, well… most of them don’t work well. I say this from experience, as a woman who has been pregnant four times in the last 5 years (pregnancy increases sweat) and worked out through the pregnancies.
So what to do? Sweat like a horse or get Alzheimers and breast cancer? Is there no other option? Fortunately, there is! Unfortunately, it takes more time than going to the store, but it lasts a lot longer and is a whole lot healthier!  In my pursuit of healthy armpits, I finally found a recipe that works and is still healthy. This is after trying every natural variation I could find (which didn’t work or caused a rash) and after several very failed attempts at making it.
I did find in the process that pure baking soda or plain coconut oil work pretty well, so if you aren’t into making your own, maybe try that. Both of the recipes below work really well. I prefer the softness of the first recipe, but if you don’t have Shea butter lying around, the second recipe works just as well.
I present to you:

7 Natural Remedies for Eczema, Testimony and findings of WILLY MAMA

I get quite a few questions about skin problems like eczema and psoriasis. I’m not a dermatologist by any means, but I have had some personal experience with eczema (in myself and family) and have found some natural remedies that are helpful so I wanted to share. (TESTIMONY OF WILL MAMA)

1. Coconut Oil

I use coconut oil for everything. It is one of the things that would absolutely be on my list in a you-are-going-to-an-island-and-can-only-bring-five-things type situation. We use it for skinhairteeth, health and even soap making at our house, but it is also great for eczema (as long as the person isn’t allergic/intolerant to coconut!).
I’ve found that for us, a thin layer of coconut oil or a coconut oil lotion barhelps cool eczema itching and pain. For those sensitive to coconut oil, these hypoallergenic lotion bars work really well too.

10 TIPS EVERY SICKLER MUST KNOW AND USE TO BETTER THEIR HEALTH

Sickle cell remains a much maligned disease. As a primarily African disease, no one seems to be interested in affordable treatment or cure. Nevertheless, success stories abound of persons who have lived with the disorder. The oldest person living with sickle cell is 86 years illustrating this point.

There is already so much information out there on sickle cell disease. However, I am moved to share information I usually give my patients that are live with the disorder. This week I've already seen two and neither of them came at a time when they could benefit from these tips. So permit me to add my 2 pence where it may be useful

1. Hope is key

Sickle cell used to be a cause of early death but that picture is fast changing with advent of stronger acting antibiotics and good information. So go online. These blogs here and here are dedicated to talking about living successfully with sickle cell disease. Shared experience can never be under estimated. Besides the cure is already available and even though it may be a little expensive at the moment, you just never know.

2. Register with a haematologist

Specialist doctors now exist that are experts in managing blood related disorders. If there is one around you especially if you have access to a tertiary hospital, take advantage.

United Nations Children’s Education Fund (UNICEF) has said that approximately 6 out of every 10 Nigerian children under the age of 18 years making. About 60 percent suffers one form of physical, emotional or sexual violence.
In a statement issued to commemorate the Universal Children’s Day in Nigeria with the theme “Why fair matters” made available to newsmen in Kaduna by Media and External Relations Officer, UNICEF Kaduna Field Office Rabiu Musa laments that “There is a culture of silence around violence against children.”
The statement explained that, “a study conducted by the National Population Commission, with support from UNICEF and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), shows that The Nigeria Violence Against Children Survey found that one in two children experience physical violence; one in four girls and one in ten boys experience sexual violence; and one in six girls and one in five boys experience emotional violence.”
It further stated that the survey was prompted by the formal launch of the ‘Year of Action to End Violence Against Children in Nigeria’ by President Muhammadu Buhari on September 15, adding that “UNICEF is also highlighting the need to address the high rates of violence that millions of children in Nigeria are suffering.”
Jean Gough, UNICEF Representative in Nigeria, was also quoted in the statement as saying “For many reasons, most children never speak up about it, and they don’t know where to go for help.
